I had never thought that it would be so easy to invade a country or planet just by being "curious" about another species. This book opened my eyes to how easy and destructive it would be for anyone to take over. The characters were believable and easy to like. The eldest son was a bit off putting and was somewhat a distraction. Over all I enjoyed reading the story and hope others enjoy it as well.
Though what bothers me the most is the errors of editing and spelling. It is tedious to reread a sentence over for the right word or structure. Being dyslexic is hard enough and having to keep going over something is wasting my time of enjoying a good story line.

Rohn Dragons of Kratak Volume 1 Ruth Anne Scott 9781547175109 Books Reviews
This is Ruth's first dragon book and she excelled in this genre as much as her aliens. Rose is commander of the Allied Scientific Team. She is the doctor in charge of studying the inhabitants of Kratak. She starts to study Rohn, the second prince. Well, Rohn wants to study her back. As the story goes along, Rose starts to question what exactly the Allies want from the Kratakians. When she learns the secret that everyone is hiding, then she realizes that she has fallen in love with Roth. When the mission is canceled early, then the team has to decide is they want to return home or stay. This has a happy ever after, but it could be expanded with the story of the rest of the team members. Good read.
Amazing read ! I could not stop reading! Amazing characters and storyline! If you love a amazing alien romance with lotes of action and romance this a book for you I read a advanced reader copy and loved it so much I bought too. You will love it grab your copy today! 😀👍🏻
This is an excellent read. A little different from Ms. Scott's usual work, because this story has actual shapeshifters. So worth your time to check it out, you will not be disappointed. Once again we are able to see a gifted storyteller at work.
Love this series so far and I can’t wait for the rent other one thank you from Geridag
I could not Force myself past page 43. The interaction between species were flat. The use of language was stilted and awkward. Thoroughly uncomfortable rather than a delightful escape.
Rose Cooper, a doctor in the Allied Command, watched the rocket shuttle take off from the planet; then she saw a dragon come out of hiding and stare at her sister and her. Allied Command had never mentioned dragons were here? But when the 4 tall men walked toward them, she forgot all about the dragon. Rose’s team was here to study the life and culture of this planet’s inhabitants. She saw an older and a younger woman hang back in a doorway – this was unusual since, among the Allies, most women took charge rather than men. But as the men approached, she observed shifting patterns moving under their skin, giving each a different hue, which identified them as non-human. The clan patriarch, Rowen, introduced himself and, after introductions to Rose’s team, introduced his clan members. Then the team members were shown to their rooms.
At meal time, the team did not know what to do. Rose finally took a seat at the table and ate; then her team did the same. She tried to ask questions, but not many were answered to her satisfaction.
Rose was called to the woods because Moira, a crew member who had been missing, was injured. But Moira was gone when she got there. She got lost heading back and Rohn came to find her. As they were talking, the dragon flew down and grabbed Rose, then took off to its mountain. Why did the dragon take her? Would she survive? Would Rohn be able to save her?
This was very different from the usual alien or dragon book I have read. The author builds the mystery and suspense for the reader as the team adjusts to the strange planet they would call home for the next year. The characters are well described. There were a few things I didn’t like about Rose because they didn’t make sense that her character would behave a certain way. But in general, the story was a good one. I definitely recommend it.
I tried to finish this, I really tried but it's over the seven day period for returning books so I won't be reimbursed for it. I struggled through the novella that was the Dragons of Kratak and said to myself maybe the rest of the book was better, it wasn't. Don't know how this got 5 stars.
